WHO WE ARE
Helping children heal, recover, and thrive.
COANIQUEM Burned Children Foundation (BCF) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that raises funds to support COANIQUEM’s work across Latin America.
Through the generosity of our donors and partners, we help provide children with burn injuries access to comprehensive rehabilitation, education, research, prevention, and professional training — regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
Our mission is simple: help ensure that every child has the opportunity to heal and build a future beyond their burn.
OUR PARTNERSHIP
A powerful partnership changing children’s lives.
BCF works in partnership with COANIQUEM, a private nonprofit organization founded in Chile in 1979 and dedicated to helping children with burn injuries across Chile, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
Headquartered in Santiago, COANIQUEM operates the world’s largest free pediatric burn rehabilitation center, providing comprehensive care completely free of charge. Its multidisciplinary teams combine specialized medical and surgical care with physical rehabilitation, psychological support, and social services.
Its financial statements are independently audited by Deloitte, and COANIQUEM is an accredited member of the United Nations Department of Global Communications’ Civil Society Unit.
